CHIMBORAZO. «La Semana del Restaurante» que estará vigente desde el 12 al 16 de octubre es una iniciativa impulsada por la Prefectura de CHIMBORAZO y el Municipio de Riobamba, en la cual 18 restaurantes que tienen la distinción de SAFE TRAVEL, ofrecerán a su clientela descuentos y promociones.
Durante está pandemia por Covid-19, los restaurantes son uno de los más afectados, su ocupación ha sido del 30%, y sus entregas a domicilio no son sufientes para cubrir todos sus gastos, como son empleados, IESS, servicios Básicos entre otros.
«Esta es una primera etapa, y se ha iniciado con la Asociación de Restaurantes de Chimborazo, que al estar agrupados pueden responder de manera inmediata a la propuesta.
En la provincia tenemos registrados 400 con los cuales también se trabajará» indicó Luis Falconí director de fomento productivo del Gobierno Provincial.
RESTAURANTES BUSCAN MANTENER A SUS EMPLEADOS
Elvis Jiménez presidente de la Asociación de Restaurantes de Chimborazo indicó que durante la Pandemia su negocio de comida típica y tradicional bajó en un 80% pero NO DESPIDIERON A SU PERSONAL.
«Ahora ha subido un poco, pero todavía está bajo, tenemos deudas y buscamos ayudarnos mutuamente, ofreciendo promociones y que la gente pueda acceder a ellas u también nos ayudan a nosotros» indicó Jiménez.
